This place was just what we were looking for. Beautiful, private, and amazing views of the water. There were countless amenities available and plenty of space for everyone. Tons of outdoor space and the fishing from the private boat launch was great. The dogs enjoyed the space to run around and were able to swim in the water. The host was very proactive, providing tons of information about the property and surrounding area, and was very communicative to ensure we were comfortable. We would highly recommend and definitely look to come back again.

Oh the memories we made here we will never forget!!! Great weekend adventures at this peaceful and historic house. We were so so blessed by Joe and the amazing community of neighbors. (See guestbook for pictures) When you stay here make sure to stop by the new brewery in Montross and the Art of coffee! House was perfect for all 4 of us! We enjoyed playing games by the fireplace and relaxing! We are already trying to find another date to come back! Advice to kayakers: Even if you are a "pro" if its slightly windy, reconsider! Thanks again Joe!! We can't wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay at Joe’s house in Montross. The house was spacious and very well appointed. We had everything we needed for a five day stay with family over Christmas. Very cozy. The views of the water right outside were amazing. Made waking up to the sunrise each morning so special. Joe’s house was pet friendly and our pup loved running around the grounds chasing squirrels and rabbits. We will absolutely be back—maybe even for the Summer so we can enjoy some in/in-water activities. Thank you for hosting us, Joe!

This house has a beautiful view of the Potomac! There was a ton of space for folks to run around and play games and just walk around the property. The house has a historic feel and is off the beaten path, in a peaceful and private setting. The view is beautiful of the Potomac river. Joe was responsive and allowed us to use the Kayaks.
