Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located light and cheerful 4 bedroom period home over 3 floors -plenty of space for a family or group with children. An excellent location on a quiet road, 12 minutes walk to the Turner Contemporary and Old Town along the seafront & 5 minutes walk from the Shell Grotto . Located in trendy Cliftonville with great cafes and restaurants nearby. The bright ground floor has an open-plan living and dining room, which leads out to the patio via the back door. The house is 4 bedroom in size. On the first floor we have a s kids single room and next door a double pull out bed for adults. The main bathroom is located on the 1st floor, with a reading alcove on the landing. On the second floor you will find another double bedroom with ensuite shower and toilet, and a vibrant children's bedroom which has bunk beds. There is carpet throughout with wooden flooring in the living room & kitchen area, and the house also has a patio garden at the back There is a log fire and tv with fire stick ( so you can get most channels) This is our family home, and its not perfect or pristine, but it has character and plenty of fun distractions. It would be great for those wanting to be comfortable with kids, with plenty of toys to discover. A short walk along the beach is the Walpole Bay tidal pool which is another local gem, and perfect for a morning or sunset swim and some crabbing with kids! You will often see people having BBQ's on the beach here at sunset ( we recommend trying this!) Whether you are a couple or family with young children, we always provide a custom 'what's on' guide You will be in the hub of Margate's thriving artistic community, and just a five minute walk down to the quiet local beach, and a stones throw from the iconic LIDO beacon. Aldi supermarket is just minutes away and a specialist bakery down the road- ‘Oast’. You can find relaxing cafes such as Forts, The Good Egg and Cliffs record and coffee shop just around the corner. The Rose In June pub is 5 mins walk and Casa Pizza, Flavours Of Kumar and Mamma Jinny Thai Kitchen are great local takeaways. Although the house is just a short 12min walk from the old town and main sands - the location is great if you want to escape the hustle of tourists and feel like one of the locals. Most of Margate's wonders are within a 15 minute walk of the house, being in between the old town and Cliftonville with its emerging independent stores. It is also a 25 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride from the station and Dreamland. There is a booth for the local taxi company close by, and bus stops for 'The Loop' bus a few minutes walk away. This bus can take you easily to Broadstairs or Ramsgate for a day trip further afield.
