I took my Father and son fishing for a couple of days and stayed at Sarah’s beautiful home in Lafitte. It was perfect for us. Loved hanging out on the porch in the evening times. Plenty of space and the ambiance was special. Would definitely recommend
Sarah’s home is beautifully set on a lovely piece of property on the river. It was comfortable and a great place to stay ahead of a fishing trip. She was very responsive throughout booking and the stay. Thank you!
Beautiful property about 30 minutes for the city. Very peaceful and had some great restaurants fairly close. Sarah was really responsive and helpful throughout the whole week. Highly Recommend!
This is a unique Bayou location. The property is right on the water with a dock to fish from. The yard is large and has trees to border it so it feels private from the surrounding area. The house is very nice. The master suite rates as one of the best I've seen. We only had 4 in our group but it can accommodate a much larger group. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living room and dining room were comfortable hang outs. The swamp tour business next door is convenient and worth looking into for a bayou water experience. We saw many alligators and birds. I recommend this place and would stay again if we had the chance.
Very peaceful and relaxing, however the mosquitos keep you inside in the evenings. Overall we had a great time with a great host.

Hey! I love the outdoors which includes cycling, skiing, snowboarding and traveling back and forth to Louisiana where I lived for over 20 years until Hurricane Ida took me back to my roots of Colorado. In Louisiana, I love my backyard (fishing or duck hunting in Louisiana wetlands), dining in New Orleans…I love working hard and playing harder whether it is being thigh deep in mud working to restore Louisiana wetlands, catching one of New Orleans' amazing music festivals, or enjoying the pow at Wolf Creek Ski Resort. Some of my favorite destinations have been Argentina, Cuba, Croatia, Iceland, Spain, Turkey, and my stomping grounds of Colorado and New Mexico where I grew up. I prefer to stay in less touristy areas and explore local spots. I love having some quality time with my man, family trips with my young daughter and adult stepsons, and am always down for a getaway with my girlfriends. I can live without pretty much everything....but hot sauce;-) My husband "Big John" is a Louisiana native who grew up shrimping and fishing in the Lafitte area with his dad. He's famous for his jambalaya and has worked in the maritime industry for 20+ years.
