Welcome to the Mermaid House! Beautiful family summer home on Cedar Point near Scituate's historic lighthouse, across the street from the ocean. Views of the lighthouse, Scituate Harbor and the Atlantic. Breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from our upper/lower decks. Fall asleep to the crashing surf. Gourmet kitchen, full dining room, living room, family room with surround-sound home theatre, spacious backyard, oversized outdoor shower. 5 BR, 2 BA house, with upper and lower decks and sweeping views of water, sunrises, sunsets, and the stars at night. Back deck with grill off the kitchen and sunroom is perfect for entertaining. Upper deck (access through MBR) is great for sunbathing, happy hour sunsets, or stargazing at night. Master BR has king size bed, queen beds in three bedrooms, and the 5th bedroom (over the garage, with the best ocean views, has a double bed, two twin beds, TV and sitting area. Note a dog and cat previously lived here for those with allergies.

Shaun is a fabulous host with a gorgeous home! The house is spacious and yet intimate, with great spaces to be together or find a little privacy. We had a wonderful time, and I would highly recommend this house and Shaun, if you have any more homes on Airbnb!
Shaun’s place was the perfect spot for our family and friends to stay while we were in town for a wedding. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The location is so beautiful with views from every window. Shaun was easy to communicate with and we appreciated being so close to town. We loved all the food options in the small town. We highly recommend a stay here!
Shaun was a fantastic host. The home was beautiful with breathtaking views of the ocean. It was right in walking distance of the Scituate Lighthouse. My wife and I rented the home for our wedding weekend. Shaun went out of his way to help accommodate us, leave us beautiful flowers, and a very nice note congratulating us on our wedding. I highly recommend renting this home as I plan to do so again in the future for our anniversary!
Beautiful home. Very comfortable. Great location. Gracious host. Would come back again in a heartbeat. I would rate it a 10 if I could.
The place is great for any group but worked specifically well for our group. Three small families getting together. Everyone had their own space. After the kids went to bed, there was room for the grown-ups to hang out and be noisy. Short walk to the lighthouse and public beach which is also great for kids and families. We cooked some nights. We got good take-out from town other nights. Shaun was available by text the few times we had a question.

Classic Scituate beaches are a mix of sandy and rocky, depending on the tides. One-mile walk or bike ride to town for restaurants and shopping. Town boat launch is 1/2 mile away. 55 minutes via train to Boston's South Station. 45 minutes to the Cape.
