This property is lovely and right on the water. The outdoor fireplace was great to use on a Fall night. There was a washer and dryer, a huge plus. The reason for 4 stars is because of the sad state of the living room furniture (bedrooms were fine) It is at least 25 years old with a convertible couch that was not fit to sleep in, although it counted in the listing as the 5th bed. The TV had no instructions and 4 remotes. We were missing some supplies that I thought would come with the rental and had to purchase these on our own. This is perfect for families with kids who don't have to worry about furniture jumping and spills. If you have trouble with stairs be advised there are more than 50 going from the parking area to the boathouses entry. Not accessible for wheelchair. Michele was VERY accommodating and responsive! She was happy to pass on the feedback to the owners. Overall very pretty view from the outdoor balconies across the lake.
The Boathouse is a cool little spot. One thing to note. The photos of the stairs down do their best, but if you are traveling with a lot of gear you will have to make multiple trips down. This could be a negative for some with movement issues. The furnishings inside were ok. The inside is quite nice for being a boat house. Everything you need on two levels, with a bedroom down stairs at the waters edge. The views, access to the water and close proximity to the town is why you book this place. Michele was a great host and promptly got back to us with the few questions we had. Ultimately from a price standpoint and where it is, it is well worth your time. We had a great time here. This is a beautiful spot and a lovely house. We had a great time. Our only comment would be to make sure that rentors know there are mulitple steps to climb to get and out of the house, in case they have someone in their party who has molibity issues.
Perfectly peaceful location right on the water with amazing views. Tons of information on what to do what where to do. Only 10 minutes from Cooperstown and 20 minutes from Ommegang Brewery.
