Fabulous week spent at Broomfield cottage. Stunning surroundings, incredibly peaceful and lovely place. Welcoming touches such as wine, cheese and biscuits-plus dog treats! Kids appreciated the games at the cottage too. Sandie and John super hosts. Thank you.

Esperienza fantastica. Jhon e Sandie sono super accoglienti e disponibili. La casa è molto pulita e confortevole. Gli spazi esterni sono meravigliosi: prati e pecore per km e km, esattamente come in Shaun the Sheep. I primi negozi si incontrano a 20m di macchina. Peccato peril tempo.. Abbiamo trovato una settimana sempre piovosa per cui non siamo riusciti a sfruttare gli spazi esterni e godere della meravigliosa vista. Abbiamo acceso la stufa!!

We literally had the best time at the cottage. Lovely hosts. Cute little place but with everything you need. Kitchen was lovely and had great appliances aswell as every utensil going, which was brilliant because you are quite remote so cooking every night was a pleasure. The fire was brilliant, made us feel very cosy. The bedrooms were great and the linen and pillows made us sleep very well. Large long dog run is a brilliant asset, a safe space for them. The garden was massive. The dogs had the best time and so did the kids, lots of exploring, footy and frizbies. We appreciate all the extras we had like sweets and flowers. We were 20 mins from Hawick which has 10 supermarkets but the real gem is Jedburgh. Very old town but pristine. We went to Mary Queen of Scots house, Jedburgh Jail, The Abbey, also Jackson’s at Jedburgh farm is a lovely experience with a petting farm of sheep and cows. We loved it and was a shame to leave. We wish John and Sandie all the best in the future x

Absolutely beautiful cottage with stunning scenery set in the countryside. Private and an excellent secure dog run. Also toddler friendly and the hosts supplied a travel cot, which was so helpful. Private parking on site and a huge field behind the property for recreation. We had an excellent time and there are plenty of hikes nearby. Would strongly recommend anyone to stay here. The hosts were on hand if we needed anything, but also left us to it and gave us privacy. Will definitely be returning!

Our stay at Broom Hills Cottage was just wonderful. Within driving distance of many great walks and sites and there was plenty of space for our little dog to run around. The cottage is a fully dog-friendly accomodation too - no surprise "dogs not allowed upstairs" notice on arrival like we've had before. John and Sandie were amazing. They checked when we were due so they could light the fires. They provided lots of extras, such as eggs, logs, treats, kitchen roll, foil, coffee, tea and so on and they'd set up the BBQ for us. They seem to have really thought of everything. We stayed when it was cold but all the rooms have electric heaters and there are plenty of blankets so it was still really cosy. Both John and Sandie were so accomodating in every way and were always available if we needed anything. On our last day, we even had some car trouble and they let us leave our stuff and our car with them until we got it sorted out. 10/10 hosts. We just can not rate them highly enough! :)
