We enjoyed staying with Carol. It was clean, private. Coffee and breakfast was very good.
Carol's home is a great home-base for visiting Acadia and Mount Desert Island - close to everything the island has to offer. Carol is very friendly and she provides so much information about the area including maps and guidebooks. She even helped us plan out our daily itineraries which made it easy to take in several different hikes around the island during our relatively short visit. She also loaned us binoculars and hiking poles which came in handy. Carol's home is immaculate and she is very accommodating, providing a lovely continental breakfast and coffee each morning. The private bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable. We really appreciate Carol's hospitality, enjoyed hearing about Carol's travels, and loved staying on the "Quiet Side." Thank you!
My fiancé and I stayed at Carol’s for 2 nights. Most of our time was spent hiking in Acadia. She was so helpful with providing us with dozens of trail map options. When we came back soaked from the rain, she allowed me to use her dryer to dry my clothes. The continental breakfast provided was also very nice. We also enjoyed chatting with her and learning of her travels too. All in all great Air BNB experience and would 100% recommend again and would stay again whenever we back in the area.
Carol has been a great host. We have arranged the check in time very easily. The house was as shown in photo. We had a large room and a bathroom all for us. everything was extremely clean. It’s a shoes-free house which is a plus. In the morning Carol has prepared us a breakfast asking what we would like. And another plus, specially for the italians, she had a moka!! She also gave us a lot of information and advice about the park, maps and books with trails,a binocular and extra towels to take a bath in the lake. We really suggest this place to everybody
Carol was amazing! She had clear directions on how to get to the place, and she had guidebooks and maps at the ready for the area. She also had incredible hospitality and generously provided breakfast.
