We just had a lovely 2 night stay here. The cottage was homely and had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and the shower was fab. Longnor was beautiful and rural but still within short driving distance of Bakewell, Alton Towers and Matlock Bath and we spent the day at each of these and had a really great time. The hosts were responsive, helpful and flexible, we would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to stay in the Peak District or surrounding areas. Thank for having us!

Mooi huis en tuintje met uitzicht over de landerijen. Huis is gezellig. De verwarming wordt door de gastheer op afstand aan en uitgezet. Helaas stond deze niet aan toen wij aankwamen en was het erg koud in de woonkamer. Gedurende ons verblijf gebeurde dit nog een aantal keren. Daarnaast bleek de lattenbodem van een van de bedden kapot, waardoor een van ons op een matras op de grond moest slapen. Alternatief was de slaapbank, maar die bleek zo vies, dat we die meteen weer inklapten.

We are two women who stayed here and loved everything about our stay. The house is so pretty, warm and welcoming and has everything we needed for cooking and being comfortable. Phil and Justin kept in close touch in case of any problems (which there weren't!) It is in a fabulous position for getting to other villages and only about 15 minutes from either Bakewell or Buxton. The newly renovated local pub does excellent food and is a 3 minute walk away. We would highly recommend Harold's House for a short or long stay.
