Upon arrival we were locked out of the house; but, after a few minutes the host sent someone to deliver the keys. Next, the patio was covered with a lot of leaf shrubs which seem to not have been cleaned for many days because went we swept off and monitored it for the 2 days there was little to no shrubs that had accumulated. Upon gaining access to house. It was very dusty, the kitchen and bathroom (stains on toilet) was not the properly cleaned and we had to clean out ourselves. The steps of the patio need maintenance as it was shaking and didn’t feel safe especially for kids. Likewise, some of the chairs on the patio were broken. Note, I only make mention of these because I am hoping that the owner can maintain the minimum standards that a guest expects upon arrival. However, I must say the view and direct access to the river bank made the stay worthwhile. On a side note the amenities of the property is pretty basic.

We had a party of 6 adults staying at Denise's beautiful place. It was perfect for us! We spent a good amount of time playing games under the thatched roof patio hut and bbqing or floating and swimming in the river 20 steps outside the back door. They even had floats on site that they let us use while we were there. It's also only a short drive to San Ignacio if you want to go adventuring. Denise was super nice and helpful and we really appreciated her and really everything about our stay there. There is only one bathroom, which I was worried about, but it really wasn't a problem. The a/c in the bedrooms makes sleeping comfortable and waking up to the sounds of the rainforest is amazing!

Abby est une super hôte accueillante et présente. Le logement est super, beau, grand, impeccable, la terrasse est magique et l’emplacement à côté de la rivière superbe. Seul bémol serait le bruit : de la route à côté, d’un livreur qui klaxonne tous les 10m dès 6h du matin, un, ou des, coq voisin qui chante toute la nuit, dès minuit, les petits chiens qui aboient tout le temps. Et nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude le dernier matin, peut-être lié à un problème mais qu’Abby n’a pu résoudre bien entendu en si peu de temps avant notre départ. Petit problème technique qui peut arriver. Sinon c’est un super logement que nous recommandons, car il est superbe et bien situé à côté de San Ignacio et juste au dessus de la rivière, le cadre est idyllique, la terrasse magique, en tenant de ces quelques petits désagréments de bruits ;-) et dont les propriétaires ne peuvent pas grand chose bien entendu 🙄 Merci Abby 🙏

What a gem! This is the place to stay if you’re looking for a true Belize! The A/C’s got turned off during the day but after talking to the locals and finding out how much it cost to run them, we could understand! Denise was a lovely host that took very good care of us and went above and beyond what was required! The road is a little rough heading east, but not a big deal if you’re looking for some adventure. Definitely would stay here again.
