This refurbished cottage benefits from a woodburning stove in the lounge, beamed ceilings and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There is a small seating area to the front. Lovely stay, would definitely return
Lovely cottage, well equipped and situated. Beautifully decorated bedrooms. Three issues: getting access. We were starting our occupancy on a Tuesday, so expected the key/code by Friday. There was no response to our inquiry then or on the weekend. It was only on Monday we were told that was because it was a weekend. Well, I’m sure they have cottages changing hands every Tuesday. Why is there no protocol in place to ensure an incoming Tennant gets access information? 2) the steps were too short, very steep and the rise between them was excessive. At the top, you hit a tiny landing, with more steps up to the toilet and master bedroom and down to the secondary room. Not a good situation for the very young or the nearly old. 3) mould. There was a distinct odour as you rounded the steps at both the top and the body- clearly mould.
Great place to stay with my sister and 1 year old. Really cosy and clean. Doors everywhere so really child friendly. Great base for exploring.
A great property with fantastic views from the bedrooms. Short walk to the great shops and pubs in Hawes. I’d definitely stay here again.
