This was our second stay at Emma's Shepherd's Hut and it was just as idyllic as before. We had a couple of very relaxing days of walking and canoeing and spent the evenings sat by the fire outside the hut enjoying the views and the peace. Thanks again Emma and Philip for your hospitality!

This was our second stay in the Shepherd’s Hut and it absolutely delightful once again. The hut was spotless and cosy and the breakfast goodies and prosecco provided were delicious and much appreciated. Our children loved befriending Dora the cat and we had great weather which allowed for games of croquet, badminton and rounders in the field. Such a great spot. We’ll be back!

We had a lovely couple of nights stay at The Shepherd's Hut. Emma and Philip were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful place, very quiet and peaceful! our kids had a great time running around and enjoying the space. Thank you!

The shepherd’s hut was perfect and we loved staying there. The location was beautiful and my children had a lovely enclosed field to run around and play in. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful

I stayed her with my 9 year old daughter and we had a very charming couple of cosy nights in the Shepherds Hut. Went to Colchester Zoo and Colchester Leisure Centre which were both a 25 min drive away. The local pub had a Thai Curry truck on the Tuesday night which was also a unexpected bonus. We both really enjoyed our stay and the hut has everything you need.
