What can I say? This was an amazing trip. If you are looking for a getaway where you can relax and simply enjoy the beauty of nature without the daily distractions, this is the place. Joe was responsive, kind and attentive. He was helpful whenever needed. The cabin had amazing views of the sunrise. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the sheets were heavenly! Plenty of blankets and candles. Loved every minute and will come back for sure!

What can we say - it was our third stay at Joe's cabin, and it was our favorite yet. We've enjoyed it so much that we've stayed 3, then 4, now 5 days. Peaceful, magical retreat. Unlike our previous stays, we had to deal with some rainy and foggy weather, but it actually made the stay more memorable. Joe has thought of every detail in this small, off-the-grid cabin, and the design and style of the place is amazing. Joe's a delight, and his oysters are the best we've had in Maine. This place is highly recommended, and even better than it looks in the photos (and it looks great there, too!).

Can’t say enough about Joe’s place!!! Loved everything about it. It was the perfect weekend getaway destination and Joe is a wonderful host. If you’re on the edge about it, do yourself a favor and book!!

It is a very unique and beautiful spot. The cabin itself is well thought out and the large windows and lots of candles make it a dreamy experience. Outhouse is very clean. You can see the water from the cabin and it’s a quick jump down to it. The house listing and boat house that Joe stays in are 2-3 minutes through the woods on the south side and the other cabin is a minute to the north side. You can hear people but rarely see them because of the woods. No one was staying in the cabin while we were there so we used their beach, which was really nice. The beach access intended for this cabin is not really available during high tide and more covered with seaweed during low tide. We had a canoe and it was a 20ish minute paddle to the mainland for us. Only real downside was the bugs, so make sure to do lots of tick checks and bring bug spray.
