Our stay at Margaret's house was for a group of friends having a long-overdue getaway and to see the solar eclipse. The location is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and there is plenty to do in the area within short driving distances. The house is very spacious, with plenty of supplies to prepare a meal, relax, and enjoy time together. We enjoyed a nice fire in the outdoor firepit one evening. The goodies Margaret left for us were so thoughtful and creative---astronomy-themed sweets and eclipse glasses! My companions offered these comments post our stay: "it's a little slice of heaven"; "I believe they have a real "gem" and I'm very thankful they were willing to share with us"; "it's just a great house"; " so welcoming and comfortable". We had a great time and we're looking forward to visiting again.
Lovely place to stay. We had some issue with hot water and heat on the first night but Margaret is able to respond to us immediately. It was late so we got the problem solved in the next day. Even with a not so smooth star, we all love the house, the set up, the welcoming and the view. Super quite place to stay. Would be great for spring and summer with good weather too! Highly recommended.
We had an amazing family reunion weekend at Margaret's beautiful home! The house had plenty of space to gather, but it also enough space to spread out and enjoy a little solitude. We loved swimming and kayaking, as well as sitting outside on the dock and hanging out on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing family meals, and the dining room had ample space for the eight of us to dine. Last but not least, Margaret left lovely Vermont snacks as well as fixings for a pancake breakfast. We felt very welcome!
We were 4 adults and 2 kids and had a wonderful time at Margaret's place! Private and easy access to swimming and kayaking on the lake, plenty of outdoor space to relax in a beautiful setting, and even caught a few glimpses of a bald eagle. And the accommodations and amenities were exactly as described. I would definitely recommend it!
Margaret’s home is a serene and beautiful spot! The house is spacious and cozy! The outdoor space had a fire pit and lots of seating with amazing lake views! Plenty of kayaks and swim access right on the property! My family felt at home and would go back again in a heartbeat!
