Had a great stay on the island. April weather can be unpredictable. We took a chance to come on our spring break. It was windy and in the lower 60’s, but we still had a great time. We explored different areas everyday, saw a turkey, lots of wild birds, crabs, so many dolphins, even a baby. We did take the kayaks out and that was a blast. There are several different beaches to play on, even more when the tide is out. I should have brought extra “dog shoes” for our dog. We did bring one pair, but he unfortunately lost two of the shoes over the course of our stay. Be aware there are ticks on the island in early April. We slept two adults, two teens, a tween and a medium sized dog in the cabin. Everything worked as it should, we had no problems. We brought charcoal and used the grill several times. Also cooked brats over the fire pit. Two bundles of fire wood were provided, we were very thankful for that. We had a wonderful time as a family, thank you for allowing us to stay.

What a great place to unplug and hang out! Me and my husband, my son, and our two dogs stayed here for 4 days and wish we could have stayed longer! We live in coastal North Carolina so we were able to drive our boat to the property so we had some transportation, but if you don't have a boat no worries, the kayaks will definitely get you anywhere you need to go. As for the property, it had everything you really need to hang out for a few days. Just bring some snacks, maybe some cold beer, a few good books, and some sunscreen and you're good to go! Lots of great options for breakfast lunch and dinner right there in swansboro and Cape Carteret, definitely hit up the Italian place on the other side of the bridge, Il Cigno Italiano. Be advised there are cacti on the island in the grassy areas, so watch where you step. There were so many dolphins swimming around, Ducks, geese, ospreys, great spot to be part of nature. The hosts quickly responded to questions, we will definitely be back!

My stay at the eco-glam on the private island was quite pleasant. Mikey and Aaron were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we were well-informed about our accommodations and the island itself. While the weather did cause a slight hiccup, with our two-night stay being shortened to just one due to strong storm risk. Aaron and Mikey handled the situation gracefully and made sure we were comfortable and offer several options. The eco-glam itself was cozy and had a rustic charm that added to the overall experience. We had everything for a comfortable stay. Overall, the eco-glam on the private island provided a peaceful retreat where we could disconnect and reconnect with nature. I would certainly consider returning in the future.
