absolutely loved staying here. bed upstairs was so comfortable. and looking out at the lighthousewas great. really enjoyed the screen porch off the king room.will definitely stay again

Nice location, but couldn't enjoy anything about the outdoor space due to the constant swarms of mosquitoes that got us (even through our clothes and using bug spray); we had to make a run for it every time we went out to our vehicle. Very old/un-updated property overall, though the kitchen equipment was almost all new which was nice. It could be great with some basic upgrades; would especially recommend removing the carpet upstairs and upgrading the bathrooms. Water pressure in the showers was decent and the AC worked pretty well downstairs (was still pretty stagnant in the upstairs bedroom even with AC and ceiling fan on; didn't want to crank down the temp more for fear it would get too cold downstairs). I let the management company know about the issues we had along the way and they were very responsive offering to resolve those that they could; unfortunately the mosquitoes (especially concentrated immediately around the property) were one of our biggest gripes and they couldn't do anything about that. I was hoping we'd be able to take advantage of the big front porch and grilling outside but it just wasn't possible to enjoy that space.

Had a nice stay. the main room, as in the pictures is beautiful. next best feature is a matchingscreened porch. there are views of the cape Lookout lighthouse from the house. lots of parking, which mattered to me, as I had a boat that Iput on the trailer for a few days mid stay. the house is beach cottage level of fit and finish, not fine home, but that suited me. small but very functional kitchen with a great gas stove, a big fridge, and an ample double sink. the dish washer is a little loose in its socket, so be careful opening the door. it is a well equipped kitchen. good wifi, and easy to figure out the cable on the large TV, not that we watched much. it is a short walk to the national park center at the end of the island, where there are a few nice trails
