My adult kids, their partners and young grandkids joined us for a weekend at Oceanview for my birthday, and it was the perfect house for such a joyous weekend. It was big enough to have privacy and our own bedrooms (with two of the grandkids spending the night together for the first time in the double bunkbed!), yet offered plenty of space where we could all gather and enjoy each other, whether it was the back deck, the huge living room or the dining room table. It was easy for all of us to reach, as we came down from San Francisco, and it made for a beautiful drive back home up the coast. And, there were plenty of memories, as I used to bring my kids down to Santa Cruz when they were younger for the warm beach and, of course, the Boardwalk. My daughter had gone to UCSC for her university studies, and it brought back great memories for her! Both of my kids asked if we could do it again next year, and I plan to reach out to Camille to see if it will be available then!

This house is beautiful, comfortable, elegant, relaxing, well stocked, basically everything you could want. I’ve stayed in a lot of nice rental homes in many places, and this was easily my favorite. I am already looking for reasons to go back! It worked well with young kids too. Central location with plenty of space and privacy. A sanctuary!

Camille’s house is a truly special place in a beautiful neighborhood. We loved being able to walk to so many places (with great suggestions from our host). This is one of our most favorite spots. Thank you!

It was a joy to return to this wonderful old mansion on the California coast. We were here a couple of years back and had such good memories that we returned again this year. AND as we'd come to expect, this beautiful stately old mansion provided the foundation for another great weekend escape. The eclectic yet comfy decor, spacious kitchen with high-end appliances, cookware, and even a drawer of those much-needed spices that you desperately need forgot to bring along. The only thing we'd not anticipated was the near record-breaking 100 degree temperatures ascended on the area for 2 days of our visit. The hostess had the blinds pulled which helped keep out the sun and we purchased a box fans locally this helped keep the air moving (1 of which we left behind as our hostess agreed to reimburse us for). Thankful, the garden & sharded deck did provide relaxing areas for us to seat & eat while running the fans and opening windows after sunset did cool things down so we could sleep.
