Super cozy cottage with amazing views and water access right out the front door. Enjoying morning coffee on the Adirondack chairs on the dock was certainly the highlight.

We enjoyed the view of the bay area - just beautiful! The outdoor table with umbrella and chairs was enjoyed. Could not find any potholders (so we used washcloths). We would have liked a separate bin for recycled trash and a second dish towel as we handwashed our dishes and had to use the dryer to complete the drying of the dishes. Liked the fact that there is a washer and dryer (although we did not use the washer). Overall our visit was MOST ENJOYABLE! We highly recommend the Osprey Cottage in South Freeport!

This is a beautiful private home that is ocean front, the views couldn't be better from the patio and dock! I should note that the hosts were living in the house next door (about 25 ft away from the Airbnb) which was not explicitly included in the listing. My only negative review is that the hosts continued to give our group a very hard time throughout our trip because we were traveling with 6 guests. The Airbnb is approved to host 6 guests and we knew when booking that we would have 2 guests in the queen bed, 2 guests in the bunk beds and 2 guests on the pull out couch. We received multiple emailed warnings from the host that this property was small, however, 6 guests were allowed to stay there. We appreciated the warnings and decided that our group would still be comfortable renting here. However, on arrival, we had trouble getting into the apartment and when we called the host for assistance (Airbnb instructions left a phone number to call in case we had trouble checking in) we were reprimanded once again for bringing six guests to the property and were given a hard time when asking for help. I found this to be inappropriate given that the airbnb is listed for 6 guests and we felt uncomfortable for the rest of the stay given that the hosts lived so close to the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but maybe consider staying elsewhere if you'd like more privacy!
