Highly recommend. Great location - Julie has a folder full of local walk recommendations. We visited Bakewell, Chatsworth House, the Heights of Abraham and Ladybower Reservoir and parts of the monsal trail. The pub opposite overlooks the stream and does great home cooked food. The house is perfect for dogs - the garden is very secure. We didn’t use the fire, but imagine it would be very cosy when it gets cold. The kitchen is well equipped. Julie was very helpful and welcoming.

A perfect place to stay and a great location in the Peak district. The property was great for our family of 4 and our dog with a secure garden. Very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. Lots of maps and walks on places to go and a couple of minutes walk across the river and you are on the Monsal trail! A great location for a walking holiday in the Peak district. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much!

A peace of heaven in the midst of the Peak District. Lovely comfortable place. Extremely clean and everything there you could possibly need as well as a wonderful pub a couple of minutes away over the road which serves excellent food and is inexpensive. The garden was wonderful and we were out there every night after our evening meal. Our two little dogs loved it too. We felt like it was a perfect place with so many walks out of the door or just a little car ride away. Same again next year for us! xxx

A lovely welcoming to a really cosy cottage! We found that it was very comfortable and clean, and the open fire, built and ready to light along with the tea, coffee and dog biscuits was a nice touch. It was well equipped and the location was perfect for some great walks, and with a lovely pub just across the road, we would definitely recommend and visit again.
