Stunning B&B full of character and history. It is a magical and unique place to stay. Host Jane welcomed us and took us through the little medieval front door, starring in the Harry Potter movie. Upon arrival, Jane made us feel welcome plus that little bit extra as it was our wedding anniversary getaway. Our room with four poster bed and on-suite had a tasteful decor and was very clean. Breakfast was superb. Jane's homemade marmalade, full English breakfast and omelette with vegetables were delicious and high quality. The village of Lavenham is full of medieval architecture. Easy to explore on foot with high-quality dining and cosy pubs. There are several longer and shorter walking trails from Lavenham. We did a beautiful & easy country walk along the old railway through forest and fields to Long Melford and back (can get a bit muddy!).

Jane is a delightful and helpful host. She and her charming son looked after us beautifully. The room was super-comfy and clean. The house is so quirky it is almost magical. We could have stayed forever.

Jane was a lovely host. Very polite and very informative. Asked about our plans and give us helpful tips like where to park on day trips out. Lovely breakfast every morning to help start our day. Every member of the family were polite and welcoming. Would recommend and definitely go again, especially for Harry Potter fans and history enthusiasts. Its a beautiful house and a much loved home.

Thank you Jane for such a delightful stay in your fabulous De Vere House, everything was wonderful. The breakfasts were so delicious 😋 We loved the room and exploring beautiful Lavenham. Jane is very kind and sweet, she made us feel so welcome and sharing the incredible history of her spectacular home, you will love it! Book it !! 🥰
