Captain Cook’s Cottage is located in the heart of Staithes. It has narrow winding streets leading to various points of natural beauty. The cottage is fully equipped and sleeps 7 (2 doubles and 1 triple). No pets and no smoking. Self catering. There is walking access to activities and amenities; recommendations available upon request. Guests can park temporarily to unload but will need to park elsewhere. Glen Vale parking is recommended which can be booked online. WiFi is free. The cottage is very spacious and located down in the harbour overlooking the sea, beach and surrounding breath-taking scenery. There is a small indoor porch on the ground floor flowing through into a large living / dining area following into the fully equipped kitchen. There is also a basement safely accessible from the kitchen where cleaning facilities and beach equipment is stored for use by guests. The first floor consists of two homely double bedrooms and a modern main bathroom. From the landing, a second staircase leads up to the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor landing is a comfortable sitting area with a 2nd bathroom off this area to service the 3rd bedroom consisting of 3 single beds. The cottage is owned and operated by a local family who's care and love of the property is evident to see throughout. The cottage has a comprehensive central heating system controlled by thermostat in the living room and all rooms are perfectly insulated and decorated in a traditional style to reflect the cottage's history.
