Canyon Dream is a lakefront home that boasts a private dock directly in front of the home, a large flat front yard and decks galore overlooking the lake. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood of mostly homeowners. It is located just 3 minutes drive down a paved road to a large flat parking area. There are no steep drop offs or narrow gravel roads to navigate, and a 4-wheel drive is not required. The best way to get around the lake is with a pontoon. If you're driving instead, leave some extra time as the roads follow the lake making for a scenic ride. Bear in mind, the locals are not in a hurry. Boone, NC is 39 minutes away; Johnson City, TN is just 38 minutes, and both are abundant with activities. Elizabethton is just a short 23 minute drive for quick dining, shopping, ice cream etc. In addition to all of the lake activities, guests can also enjoy the Appalachian Trail, Roan Mountain State Park, Sugar Hollow Retreat, a winery, and lots of snow skiing, tubing, and snowboarding options nearby. We provide guests with many local recommendations for activities, food and drink.
There are plenty of activities you can do without ever leaving Canyon Dream. We have an outdoor ping pong table, fire pit, corn hole boards, 3 kayaks, a paddleboard, paddle boat, life jackets, a large dock with seating and swim ladder. The home is in a large secluded cove where guests can swim, play, or float all day but still remain within sight of guests on the deck making it easy to keep an eye on those in the water. If you brought or plan to rent a boat, guests can dock it in our slip for the duration of the stay. We also rent water sports equipment for the duration of your stay upon request including water skis, 3-person tube, knee board and tow ropes. The Little Milligan Boat ramp is just minutes from the house, and it a great spot to launch your boat. The lake is 16 miles from end to end and with its 185 miles of shoreline, you can explore the area for days.

Canyon Dream is located off a well maintained 2-lane state highway. From there, you'll continue 3 minutes (0.9 miles) down an easily navigated 1-lane paved road. In the unlikely event you encounter another vehicle on this dead end road, there are plenty of places to pull off for passage. The home sits just off the pavement where you will find a large parking area with ample room to turn around. There is plenty of lighting for the parking area if arriving at the property after dark.
