This is the place if you want to get away from it all. That said, there is state park 4 miles away and plenty of places to visit within 30 minutes. There is a new swank restaurant by the water Pier 450 and a local fish place Courtney's. Strip malls with all sorts of stores are about 20/25 minutes.
Pets may be permitted on a case by case basis, with an extra security deposit for any mutually agreed upon pet.
Groceries and shopping: There is a local Dollar General, Liquor and Hardware store a couple of miles from the house if you run our of milk, need ice cream or beer. But we recommend stopping along the way to fill up with fresh produce and food. The closest big chain supermarket is McKays or Harris Teeter, a 15 to 20 minute drive. You can order food online and have it ready for pick up which is very convenient.
There is not garbage pick up and you must take all perishables and recycles to the dump. It's called Ridge Convenience Center. Ridge - 13939 Point Lookout Road: Located off of MD Rte 5 (Point Lookout Rd.) in the southern end of the County, approximately 2 miles north of the intersection with MD Route 235 (Three Notch Rd.). It's a 5 minute drive from the house.

We take the pandemic very seriously and leave gaps between each guest to ensure a thorough deep cleaning. We may begin asking if people are vaccinated. But until the majority of people are we clean as if people are not and cannot accommodate early check in or late check out.
