A beautifully designed home, well-maintained, fully equipped. We loved the comfortable country informality, with amenities galore and a host who clearly wants her guests to enjoy this special place.

We loved our stay at Ann's place! Ann was the most helpful and responsive host we've ever had. She recommended great seasonal restaurants, fun hikes and was always available to help. The house is in a beautiful, extremely peaceful location with a stunning view of Penobscot Bay. It was comfortable and full of every amenity one could wish for. The layout was perfect. Someone could be cooking in the kitchen while in conversation with people in the living room below. The bedrooms were private, the views from the living area and master bedroom lovely. There were endless walks and delicious restaurants, even at the end of December. We would return in a heartbeat.

We have stayed at this wonderful house for several years, but this was the first time we visited the area in November. Highly recommended! While some things are closed for the season, there is still plenty to do and see, and highlights like Acadia are much less crowded and easier to navigate as a result. As usual, the house was a delight, and we look forward to returning next year!

We had 7 family members and our dog staying there for our son’s wedding at the Oakland House. Ann’s house was stunningly beautiful inside and out, and very conducive to gatherings on the stone patios or in the cozy kitchen and living room areas! Ann has thought through every detail! The kitchen is well equipped and stocked! I would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the area! Hope we can return at some point in the future! Our friends stayed at her adjacent rustic chic cottage, which was also nice!

We return over and over again to this beautifully appointed home in Sedgewick. Often coinciding our trip to availability. It's cozy and a total homage to it's location in the detail of things like Deer Isle granite (fireplace) and local slate countertops as well as art and windows soaking in morning sun and windows towards setting sun. Who gets that?! Just LOVE it here!
