Such a privilege to stay in such a beautiful house, centrally located close to amenities and so well kitted out, log burner easy to use and large cooker. Everything we needed in the kitchen and thoughtful touches with extras and toiletries... heating easy to use and shutters added to cosy atmosphere. the rear garden was beautiful and worth the challenging climb to the top. Next door hotel and grounds worthy of the visit, fascinating history with lots to see. perfect stay....
Stayed at Angel Cottage with family whilst celebrating a significant birthday of a sibling who is a Swanage resident. It is a lovely cottage where everything has been considered and is right in the heart of Swanage close to restaurants, shops and the beach. The parking space is a real bonus and probably even more so in high season. Thanks for a lovely weekend.
The cottage was very comfortable and very well decorated and furnished and contained all you would expect with regard to self catering. Close to the town centre amenities, restaurants and a short walk to the beach front. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Swanage itself. Good communications by the host.
We loved the luxurious feel of this house and how amazingly well-located it was to Swanage village. Our group was three couples and it suited that dynamic very well. Anne was great with communication and the cottage was spotless and well laid out. Thank you for making our long weekend very special.
Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cottage. It is brilliantly located in centre of Swanage close to restaurants, pubs, coffee, cake and beach. Well appointed cottage with all we could need. Had a lovely long weekend and would not hesitate going back.

My family has always loved the outdoors, seaside walks, cycling & fresh air, so when I saw this gorgeous Purbeck stone cottage, with sea views, in the heart of Swanage, I had to buy it! The restoration, over 15 months, was painstaking but worth it. Named after the character Angel Clare in Thomas Hardy’s Dorset-based novel ‘Tess of the D’Urberville’s’, the cottage has nods to its 1860s origins, but with brand new everything from the roof, to windows, central heating & furnishings. There’s also a wood-burning stove in the sitting room, which makes for a cosy return after a day by the sea. Interiors is a passion of mine as well as my line of work and I have loved creating this little haven. It’s a real pleasure to welcome others to experience this wonderful place and share in all it has to offer.
