Such a beautiful spot for a peaceful escape into the Lakes. The views from the windows across the valley are stunning. It had all the home comforts you would want or need, and hosts were super kind and responsive. It was a perfect place for us to stay with my mother in law, and our 3 year old.

Another lovely time spent in the Lake District and this house was ideally located to avoid congested roads if you do a little planning. House was clean and had everything we needed, plus the benefit of a fantastic pub 2 minutes walk away. Would certainly recommend and we'd happily stay again.

We spent 2 nights at George and Holly's house (family of four and our dog). Directions and instructions to get in were clear and helpful. The house is located in the most peaceful of places and felt really private. It's so close to Bowness, Windermere and Ambleside. Perfect for exploring. The house is even more lovely than the pics and was a really good size for us. Beautifully furnished, toasty warm and cozy with comfortable sofas and beds. No shouty signs and endless rules which you get in some holiday lets. It felt like home during our stay. The Brown Horse pub is on the doorstep and serves amazing food by very friendly staff. Only positives to say, we wished we could have stayed longer and our teenagers agreed!
