We had a wonderful stay at The Hummingbird. The house was super clean and smelled wonderful when we arrived. It was perfect for our group of four adults and two small children. We spent a lot of time outdoors watching the annular solar eclipse. We were able to set up all our viewing gear on the sidewalk that stretched from the parking area to the front porch. We enjoyed the outdoor furniture and firepit. We appreciated the privacy provided by the tall bamboo that surrounds most of the property. Items we forgot to pack were found at the grocery store in Leakey, a short drive away. The kitchen had all the items we needed to cook some nice meals. We took some great, memorable photos on the Frio River at the bridge crossing between Cooper Mountain Rd and John Davis Rd. The host was very responsive to all our communications. Our grandkids enjoyed playing horseshoes and making smores. Night sky viewing with our telescope was perfect! We would stay there again.

The home was very clean, straight forward and ready to stay in. It was exactly what we needed for 8 people for the trip we planned. We met family for a wedding and it was right down the street.
