Tom and Christen’s place was perfect for our trip around the Big Island. Close to the Volcano National Park, easy walkable access to Black Sands Beach! 40min drive from South Point and Green Sands Beach - such an awesome location for traveling the south end of Big Island! Appreciated the thoughtful communication and all the beach amenities! The perfect stay! Thank you so much!

Only a 10 min walk from the most beautiful black sand beach and a quick drive to the national park, Tom & Christens place was exactly what we needed for our few nights on the Big Island. Loved waking up to the sound of the ocean too!

Quiet location located close to a black sand beach. You’ll be more likely to be woken up by the birds than other people. First night was a tad warm because the windows had been closed before we got there in the evening, but the rest of the stay was comfortable when having a fan placed near the window for outside air. Restaurant options are limited in the area, so plan accordingly. We drove a lot, but that would have been the same if we stayed anywhere on the island, and I preferred to stay in a beautiful quiet area like this than somewhere busier. Pool and hot tub was a nice amenity.

If you’re looking for a quiet, private, and peaceful getaway on the Big Island, Tom & Christen’s place is a great choice! We decided to spend a few days in the south side of the island before we spent the remainder of our trip up in Kona, and we were so glad we did. It’s definitely remote, but a beautiful drive down the coast. All was as described for the unit and the complex, and Tom was very communicative and responsive when needed. Even with the windows open at night for the ocean breeze to keep cool (won’t even miss the AC), it’s still quiet as ever. Seems like everyone that comes here is all looking for the same “pace” (and volume) of getaway. Thank you for everything! We’d love to return next time we’re on the Big Island.
