We loved our location as we prefer solitude and were only a short distance from Black Sand Beach (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) and it was a scenic drive to Green Sand Beach. We appreciated how well managed and maintained the resort was, it had everything we needed including a beautiful view. We did day trips into the nearby communities and enjoyed the Farmers Markets, and also did day trips to the busier beaches to go surfing/snorkeling (only 1 hour away on average). We appreciated having our quiet place to return to after a busy day. Great unit for 2 people as it is now until the owner replaces the sofa bed. Julie was fantastic at quickly responding and providing extra mattresses for our girls to sleep on to help with our stay. We’ll be back!!

The condo needs a new mattress for the bed and an A/C immediately. You don't need an A/C in many parts of Big Island but this is not one of them. We were also unlucky to be staying here on some very hot days. The sagging old mattress didn't help at all. It can also get noisy during the day because it is next to the swimming pool. Other than that this is a very well equipped condo at a fantastic location. Julie (the host) was very responsive and always available for questions. The apartment was clean and we did not have any other issues during our stay.

The place was perfect for the location. The place has no air conditioning, my husband opened the windows and used the fan which helped. If you are planning on spending two to three days make sure to bring enough toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags.

This property (#13) is in an amazing location…truly can’t be beat. There were a number of small issues that really should be addressed, and if so this would be a top-notch property. As is, it was good, not great. There is no air conditioning, the mattress is less than stellar, there are no storage containers whatsoever in the kitchen, and bugs fly in at night when the lights are on. (We are from Florida and are used to bugs/lizards). We appreciated the ample supply of towels and beach towels, but had to go find the property manager to fill out the parking form (it was supposed to be in the unit). Upon checkout, we were asked to strip the bed and wipe out the refrigerator and freezer, among other things. We wish we could give it five stars - we loved the location so much.

Would stay here again. Was a really great place to take our young kids. It was right next to the pool and the beach was a short walk away.
