A lovely peaceful place to stay. Loved having the sheep as neighbours. Kate was a great host being friendly whilst not intrusive. The accommodation is beautiful and cosy and the landscape is stunning. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Thanks Kate 😀
What a wonderful place and wonderful hosts!! I think this is probably one of the nicest Airbnb stays I've ever had. The Apple Loft is cosy, beautifully decorated, warm and full of character. Out of the back door, you look up from a private patio into the orchard where a small herd of gorgeous sheep graze and potter. Nothing but birdsong and wildlife to hear. Kate is a super friendly, helpful and welcoming host, and the other folks you see around the farm are equally so. I cannot recommend this place highly enough (I was doing the Tamara Coast to Coast hike and stayed 2 nights) and I will absolutely be back to stay again!
An absolutely beautiful place to stay. The accommodation is cosy and comfortable. It was exactly as described. Kate’s directions were easy to follow. Although I would also advise looking on google maps before you leave. Kate was very quick to respond to messages and gave a list of recommendations which were really helpful. We are looking forward to visiting again.
A really unique and peaceful Airbnb, in a converted barn, with all the countryside features and quirkiness you'd expect. Real log burner with logs provided, simple kitchen but everything you need to self cater if necessary, and a lovely cozy bed on a mezzanine up with the beams. Plus your own private little courtyard seating area, in the morning sun. You might struggle to stay here if you have any mobility issues, due to the steps, otherwise a recommended place to stay for anyone who loves that authentic country feel. Thanks Kate, you made us feel most welcome! We'd stay again given the chance.
We enjoyed our stay at the Apple Loft, it was cozy, fully equipped and in a great central location from which to explore the local area, we were walking the Tamara Way so it was the perfect base. Catherine and her mum were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area, we can't wait to return.

Mum, farmer, and lover of the outdoors. Things I love - family, living next door to my Mum, having lots of visitors, our garden and growing veggies, family adventures camping by our river. Dad was a pioneer of farming sustainably in the 80's and I have continued that with our sheep, cows and a working horse to help manage the woodland. We have offered accommodation at the farm for many years making life long friends along the way.
