Angela and Roger were great hosts of such a nice house.. two very spacious bedrooms with en-suites and a really cool lounge/kitchen space. Location is prime.. centred in Birkdale village with supermarkets and cafes at v close proximity.. I spent Saturday afternoon at crozier’s where I cherished the avo on sourdough with hash brown. Visited with mum but this is something I’d like to revisit with wife and kids for sure..

A lovely host, beautiful property and great location for exploring Birkdale, Southport, Liverpool and Formby. Had everything we needed for a comfortable mini-break, we'll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this house and if ever I return to Birkdale I will definitely try to stay there. The house is about 7 minutes’ walk to the train station where you can get a train to Liverpool in one direction and Southport in the other direction run every 15 or 20 minutes at peak times. There are also 2 or supermarkets within 5 minutes’ walk. The house is on a fairly busy road, in a nice residential area of Birkdale, with easy free street parking. This house will accommodate a max of 4 people. The 2 bedrooms are bigger than I expected and the mattress of my bed was very comfortable, giving me a good night sleep. It has 2 bathrooms / showers / toilets. There is a full range of kitchen facilities including a dishwasher, washing machine. All areas of the house are very clean. Angela is a great host with very quick replies to communications. She left a bottle of wine and few things to eat and drink for us on arrival. It was very kind and thoughtful of her.

Seamless communication and organisation, all aspects to ensure a comfortable stay considered and prepared. All appliances needed were provided to really make this a home from home. Beautifully designed and furnished throughout. High quality bedding. Angela was a delight. Could not fault.

Dr Banks is a beautiful, relaxing and comfortable space to stay. It has the style and quality of an older property, with all the advantages of tasteful contemporary decor and furnishings, modern kitchen, appliances and en-suites. The garden space is lovely. Availability of on-street parking and nearby Birkdale shops, cafes and station are great assets too. Angela is a very friendly, welcoming and responsive host. This was our second visit - with friends this time - and we intend further return stays. Thank you!
