Stunning surroundings, beautiful, rustic and comfortable accommodation, a great base for exploring the Lakes. Hazel was very helpful in sending great directions to find the steading too ☺️

Really great stay on a cluster of converted farm buildings. Amazing views and close to the nearest town. Hazel was great and responsive when we had a request. The kitchen was one of the best provisioned of any air BnB we have ever stayed in!

Perfect hosts, fabulous accommodation and stunning location! We thoroughly enjoyed The Barn for our weekend away and didn’t want to leave! The photos don’t do it justice, the vaulted ceilings and views are stunning and it comes alive with the little touches like the fairy lights on the beams! Well thought out accommodation with everything you need just to chill out at the end of the day after a fabulous time out exploring The Lakes. A zen space for our yoga and a comfy couch for a couple of Baileys 🥃🥃 whilst weather watching Storm Kathleen roll in over the stunning countryside! Thankyou Hazel & Mike we loved your place! :) xx

Staying at the Barn was idyllic: beautiful scenery of the surrounding fells and lots of walks nearby. We managed to do Low Fell and Fellbarrow one day, and drove to Buttermere Lake the next. The place itself was great - everything you could need in the kitchen for a brew and amenities to cook your own food. The hot powerful shower was much needed and appreciated after a day in the fells! The unique aspect of Hazel's stay is the warm taps outside which was perfect for washing down a muddy dog before getting him inside. The beds were clean and comfy..the room is blackout, great for lying in. Will definitely stay again!

Thanks a lot for hosting us Hazel, we had a lovely stay. The Barn House was very cosy and offered everything that we wanted for a much needed peaceful and relaxing time in the Lake District. We'd love to visit again in the future! David and Emily.
