It is ideally located for the best restaurants and beaches. Sophie is a great hostess and certainly helped us when we had WiFi problems or questions. Personally, I would strongly recommend renting the house in its entirety, as I would neither want upstairs or downstairs neighbors.

Sophie is a responsive, friendly, flexible and helpful host, with extensive knowledge of the island. Her house is lovely: newly built, beautifully furnished, well-equipped and with breathtaking views of the water. It's in a nice location adjacent to the Long Bay Resort Hotel, up a (very steep) hill from the waterfront, walking distance from several nice restaurants. A great place to relax, listen to the surf and enjoy the vistas. We were disappointed not to have access to the Resort's swimming pool (that was a feature promised in the online description that drew us to rent this house -- apparently the Resort has changed its policy). The house is indeed a 5-minute walk from a very beautiful mile-long beach, but it would be important to note that this beach is not suitable for swimming owing to the heavy surf. There is a spectacular swimming beach at Smuggler's Cove just 10 minutes away by car, over a challenging road - 4-wheel drive recommended!
