Lovely and quiet. There’s a small shop on site and a little bistro for food open Thursday evening till Sunday. Mostly we went out for the day and walked around the site on a night. There is a lovely woodland walk. Stretching out a mile or so around the park. A lovely play park far the kids and dog friendly A lovely place to visit if you want peace and Quiet

The property was, very clean and tidy. The surrounding was very tranquile and nice. It matched our expectation, and ever better than than.

I booked a stay for myself, my wife, and two young children (3yo and 11 month old). Prior to arriving we received a message asking to leave the caravan clean and tidy on departure. We arrived around 5.30pm and I left the family to settle in and went the 8 mile trip to get food shopping for a 3 night stay. Once the children were fed my wife began to prepare the rooms for bedtime. The twin bedroom looked as though the beds had just been re-made and not actually changed and on closer inspection one of the beds had an obvious urine stain on the sheet. We tried to contact the host as, by this point I was back from the supermarket with a fridge full of food and it was getting on for 7pm. We were prepared to change the bed ourselves so our son could sleep and overlook this as an error on the part of the cleaners. However, the host failed to respond to any messages we sent and the onsite grocery shop was closed. The host seemed to stop responding as soon as we complained about the stained sheet. There were no other contact details aside for an out of hours park assistance number which failed to answer. There was no fresh linen available, other than towels. In addition there were bits of food around the edges of the sofas, biscuits under the cushions, bits of cigarette boxes torn up; the entire caravan had an odour of cigarettes which someone had attempted to mask with a heavy air freshener smell- we were both felt heavily congested by the time we left! The cutlery was filthy, as were the glasses and cups. Indeed, the washing up sponge left on the draining board had been used. Despite listing amenities such as shower gel, there was nothing- not even a bin liner in the bin. We finally got through to air bnb (by this point it was around 10pm as there is limited signal and no Wi-Fi in the property ) and they contacted the host on our behalf, again she failed to respond and so they fully refunded our money. We were incredibly disappointed as it is a beautiful area and our son was really excited to stay in a caravan. We had travelled for 350miles with no other option but to stay one night as it was too late to find anywhere else, and we had to put our son in the bed that wasn’t soiled, lying on a towel. Although check-in was smooth, it did not make up for all of the issues listed above. There is just enough space in the main bedroom to put up a travel cot so not ideal with an infant. We took pictures of all the issues and photographs of how we left the property.

Lovely caravan …very clean and all the mod cons! The site was perfect for a relaxing getaway with the family.
