Lovely house with beautiful views over the fells. Very comfortable beds and everything you could need. Handy for both Cockermouth and Keswick which have many restaurants and the Wheatsheaf Inn which was 20 yards away was very good. Taking the dog I could be up on the fells in 20 -25 mins via a walk through a quiet village. Would recommend.

Great base for walks. Drying room great after our wet walks! Enjoyed the table football and darts shed at the back and spacious lounge for dinner and games for 5. Also sitting out in garden after walk is great! Only downside was we were not expecting the twin room to be one bed plus another underneath and when mattress is pulled out, you can't open door which was awkward with two adults sharing. Shower but fiddly but got there in the end! Great value!

Lance and Alison’s cottage was perfect for our group. We felt right at home and appreciated the clear instruction and communication from our hosts. Beautiful surroundings and perfect for exploring the northern Lake District!

We had a brilliant stay here, the cottage is in the perfect location for exploring the Lakes and caters well to a small group. There is plenty of space and the kitchen is well equipped. The enclosed garden space was also very useful for dogs. Would also really recommend the restaurant at the pub across the road - fantastic food! Thanks again
