My family and I had a great stay at Moss Side Farm, our ages ranged from 9-71 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. It was a proper farm stay and the kids enjoyed playing with the farm dogs, visiting the animals and even got to feed the lambs on a couple of occasions. The cottage was lovely, had everything we needed in the kitchen, big spacious bedrooms with lots of character. Although the cottage is 400 years old the central heating was great so even on a stormy April night in the lakes it was cosy. The host, Louise, made the stay extra special by going the extra mile to involve the kids, talk to them and show them the animals. She said if we needed anything to just shout her across the farm and she really meant it. She was knowledgeable and passionate about the local area and even brought us over a book on walking bridges as we'd asked about one of the local rivers. We hope to be back to see the dogs and check if the piglets are all grown up!

We had a wonderful stay at Moss Side Farm over Easter. Louise couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, she and John were even kind enough to let our little boy bottle feed one of their lambs. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is absolutely stunning, amazing views and walks close by, and a great base for days out to Coniston and Tarn Hows which was a fantastic walk. I’m sure we will be back to stay at Moss Side Farm again in the future, couldn’t imagine a better place to stay when visiting the Lake District.

What a lovely stay! Such a great location, lovely accommodation and the hot tub and animals were a wonderful bonus! Louise was so helpful and easy to get hold of, would stay again in a heartbeat!

Thanks Louise, absolutely spot on. Hard wearing house ideal for family and dogs. Lovely setting in the middle of a farm, great walks from the front door. Louise was very helpful in all respects. Thanks again.
