Sandra’s place is an oasis away from it all. The place was fabulous, clean and private. The VIEWS!!!! Spectacular! Must have a rental car. Drive (approx 1 hour) to most places. Some beaches within 30 minutes. We are very active people and if you plan to see rest of the island note be prepared to spend time in your car. This was our second week on island so it was a nice escape away from the tourist crowds. However if your only stay, you may feel a bit far from the action. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

This was an amazing stay. The bungalow was very clean and the hosts very friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more for our honeymoon. Definitely a good place to stay for adventuring the island. Would definitely stay again!

Sandra and Fred's place is one of a kind! It is located in a beautiful, peaceful part of the island where you can get away from the touristy spots. We very much enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided. Although it was a bit cloudy at night it was great to be able to sit in the hot tub under the moonlight and listen to the sounds of the wind as it passes through. From the porch you can see the southernmost point of the U.S. and the vast ocean as far as the eye can see. We were big fans of Coffee Grinds, for breakfast and coffee in the mornings. This definitely won't be our last time visiting here!

The Hibiscus Bungalow is a lovely space. The colors, eclectic furnishings, and art add character. It is small enough to be cozy, big enough to have everything, yet feels spacious. The bungalow is thoughtfully curated from the quaint garden, private hot tub, and welcoming lanai impeccably clean and private. I know the island well and was there mostly on business this trip. While I knew it was located on the island's southwest side and had passed the area many times, the landscape (lava fields) was a significant contrast for me as I usually stay in areas where it's lusher. There is limited access to beaches on this side of the island. If you want to spend a lot of time at the national park, visiting Hilo and the south end of the island, this is the perfect place. The hosts and bungalow get an easy 5 stars from me.

We can’t say enough about this place. The views were fantastic and sitting under the stars in the hot tub gazing at the Milky Way was magical. It was super clean and well laid out for a very comfortable stay. Good location for itineraries that will go from Volcanos to Kona. There is a lot of fun stuff to do all along the shoreline and mountains a short drive away. The hosts were amazing and helped us with anything we needed. We will definitely stay again. Aloha!
