Lovely little pod. Just right for family to stay for a couple of days. Nice little touches with the milk, bread, brownies and biscuits. The butter came in handy too. Thanks so much.

Lovely place, close enough to Kendal and Windermere but out the way enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Had a great time, everything is as described and will definitely go back in future.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Hen House glamping pod. Our hosts Jane & Mark were very helpful and all queries were quickly responded to. The pod itself was perfect. Very clean and the small space was designed brilliantly - our 5 year old daughter particularly loved the bunk beds! There is no Wifi or phone signal but we actually found being off grid very liberating and relaxing. Would definitely recommend staying at the glamping pods for a few days of getting away from busy life. Also would recommend the black Labrador pub in Underbarrow (easy 5 min walk for little legs) and the punch bowl pub in Crosthwaite (a 5 min drive away). Not the cheapest but very tasty and both welcoming. Thanks Jane, Mark and Herdwick Cottages.

Lovely little place. It was well equipped. They have also included some stuff that I haven’t even realised I will need it when planned. I would definitely recommend it.

We had the most wonderful stay! Our children were so happy the whole time and loved looking out of the little window to see the sheep and cows. We would highly recommend to families with young children.
