Cute little place. Quiet surroundings. Will stay here again.
This place was perfect for our family of 3. The property was so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed being at the southern tip of the island between Kona and Hilo and away from the crowded tourist areas. We were lucky enough to be there when the volcano was erupting so we made the 30 minute drive every night to see the lava! Also, you are within walking distance of the amazing black sand beach. Definitely don’t miss out snorkeling on the beach, you will see the most beautiful fish and turtles! I felt like this condo had all the amenities you could need, beach supplies, toiletries, kitchen utensils and even some condiments.
It was a great stay! I definitely recommend this place. Cozy quiet and nice spot. next time we will definitely go there again!
The location was quiet and secluded. A nice mix of residents and renters. The location on the Southside of Hawaii is remote, romantic and peaceful. The unit worked fine for a family of three. I'd go for a 2 bedroom next or ditch the kid;) You won't find a better location to access the black sand beach.
Julie’s place is really beautiful, no question about it. The grounds are spotless, the view from the pool and hot tub area just breathtaking. I came to see the volcano and was very pleased with the location. It was central enough to both the east and west coasts for exploring and 20 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. Walking distance to the black sand beach, but nothing else. Na’alehu is 15 minutes away and they have some restaurants and a great coffee shop - Ka Lea. South Point is gorgeous. What I didn’t like - these little bungalows are completely open to the surrounding noises. Whether it’s the neighbor’s tv, the birds in the eaves, the morning rooster crows, the landscaping vehicles, or every person walking by, it took some getting used to. I didn’t mind so much, but felt in turn that everyone else could hear us. In fact our neighbor made a point to come by as we were catching up, chatting and laughing to say we were too loud. It was 7 pm and there were only two of us, so yeah…
