Really enjoyed our stay at High Lorton. Plenty of space in the cottage for our family of 5 adults and 2 dogs. The cottage is in a great location with lovely views of the valley, which we particularly enjoyed from the hot tub in the evening. Great range of walks both from the cottage and a short drive away. The keen members of our group managed to summit several peaks and the others enjoyed more relaxed walks around Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater (particular favourite was Rannerdale Knotts).

Diana was a great host, very helpful if needed anything and lovely to chat to. The cottage was lovely and warm on arrival. Diana had the hot tub ready for us on return from our hiking adventures which was great way to relax end of day. Would definitely return we all loved it. Thank you so much xx

Our stay was very lovely! Diana made sure we were comfortable and also gave some sound advice about walks nearby which resulted in great views and a feeling of satisfaction. It was fantastic to have access to the hot tub which comfortably fitted four of us and gave amazing views across Low Fells. The property itself was well insulated! The fire was also a nice feature to sit in front of and relax. Comfy beds and warm showers made it easy for us to rest each night. The property is quite isolated (with the exception of the host and the other guest houses) so make sure you have brought enough food/drink with you as the nearest supermarket is about 15 minutes drive away. However as a way to get away from it all this property couldn't be better. Oh and our dog loved it too!

Fab, beautiful location. We expecially enjoyed watching the sun set from the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Diana came to the rescue when i broke my toe by providing some tape to strap it up.
